A New Drivetrain for the 2018 Jeep® Wrangler

If you're anything like all of us here at MotorWorld Chrysler, you're eagerly awaiting news about updates for your favorite Chrysler, Dodge, RAM, and Jeep® vehicles. The 2018 model year is here, and with it comes some upgrades for the new cars, trucks, and SUVs on our lot. One vehicle we're really looking forward to is the 2018 Jeep® Wrangler. This model has always been capable of taking on off-road conditions, but now it looks like drivers of this 4x4 will get to choose a new kind of four-wheel drive system.

A typical four-wheel drive system found in a model like the Jeep Wrangler can be turned on manually by the driver. If you encounter some rough conditions or go off-road, switch on the 4x4 system and handle just about anything. This differs from a typical all-wheel drive system, which is always on and built to handle harsh weather.

This new Jeep model will offer a slightly different kind of four-wheel drive system. The next-generation Jeep Wrangler will allow drivers to choose a full-time four-wheel drive system. This feature, known as Selec-Trac, will be on all the time and ready for anything the road throws your way.

If it's anything like the old Selec-Trac system, which was once found on models like the Jeep Liberty, it could offer a specific setting for off-road adventuring while offering 4x4 capability around the clock. Currently, we only know for sure that this four-wheel drive system will be offered on the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. We can't wait to learn more about this new model when it shows up at our dealership in Wilkes-Barre later this year!

So when you're looking for a capable SUV, make our Jeep dealership your first stop. Our expert dealers are on hand to answer any of your questions and ready to help you find the SUV of your dreams. We look forward to assisting you!
