The standout feature on the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is its plug-in electric powertrain, which is the first to come standard on a Jeep SUV. The powertrain system is paired with a 2.0-liter I4 DOHC direct-injection Turbo PHEV engine to bring out the best in already proven Jeep Brand 4x4 capability.
The lithium-ion battery pack, regenerative brake booster, and eight-speed automatic transmission work together to send an impressive amount of power and torque to each wheel. The sealed and waterproof battery pack is as hardy as you would expect from a Jeep product, able to perform in tough conditions like fording creeks and streams up to 30 inches in depth.
The easy-to-use at-home charger can charge the SUV in approximately two hours. Whether you want to take an off-road adventure or get around the Wilkes-Barre area on all-electric power, the SUV is ready with an EPA-estimated 49 miles of all-electric range. The E-Selec driving modes utilize Power Routing and enable drivers to optimize performance while eliminating range anxiety.
